Packing and Shipping Instructions for service

  • Pack the system in its carrying case, taking care to secure all accessories.
  • Always wrap the probe head and system with padding.
  • Do not ship the probe with the head in the probe holder on the machine as this can damage the probe.
  • Wrap the probe head to protect from damage.
  • Pack the probe and system into a box with at least 3" of peanuts on all sides.
  • Purchase some insurance from Federal Express (see below)
  • Always pack the system to travel on it's bottom, not it's back or the side

Insure your system
We recommend a minimum of $2-3000 worth of shipping insurance from Federal Express. You may want to purchase more insurance to cover your equipment in the case of loss. (The cost of insurance is normally $7.50 per $1000.00 of coverage.) You can reach Federal Express (800-238-5355) to arrange for a pickup. We do not recommend pack and mail type shipping businesses as they tend to mark up the shipping by 100%.

Return of Your System
All serviced units are returned back via Federal Express 2nd day service. If you require overnight shipping or wish to have more insurance on the return shipment, please notify us so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
