Two of the leading providers of veterinary ultrasound and diagnostic imaging equipment and education have joined forces. Universal Ultrasound of Bedford Hills, New York recently merged operations with Classic Medical Supply of Tequesta, Florida. Universal Ultrasound has been serving the veterinary industry for over 35 years, and was founded by President and CEO Peter Brunelli. Steve DuMond founded Classic Medical in 1985. Mr. DuMond will now function as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the newly merged group.
Brunelli commented on the merger, "Universal Ultrasound and Classic Medical have over 16,000 combined veterinary customers, and nearly 60 years of experience in veterinary imaging. By combining our talents and resources we are positioned to provide diagnostic imaging solutions to veterinarians of all disciplines, and at every skill level."
Classic Medical has been renamed to Classic Universal Ultrasound, and will maintain a unique position within the Universal brand, focusing on notebook and portable ultrasound solutions. Universal will continue to offer a complete line of ultrasound and digital radiography equipment, as well as comprehensive ultrasound education.
